English
Can I log in from multiple devices?
- Yes. You can use the same account on desktop and mobile.
How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?
- Go to General Settings, Security Settings, enable Two-Factor Authentication and link your phone.
How do I change the language of Beem?
- Go to General Settings, select Language, then choose your preferred language.
Why can't I add a passkey?
- A screen unlock method has not been enabled for the current device; that is, facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, or lock screen password protection is not needed to unlock the device. Try enabling a screen unlock method for the device before adding a passkey.
- The device operating system is not supported. If this is the case, upgrade your device's operating system to the latest version.
- The third-party USB security key does not support the passkey feature.
- Your device model or system version might not support the passkey feature.
Why have I not yet been required to use a passkey?
- A passkey has not yet been added to the current account or device.
- The passkey that was added to the current account has been deleted.
Why did passkey verification fail?
- You have not added a passkey to the device you are currently logged in to. A passkey can be used only if one is added to the device that is used to log in.
- The passkey is invalid. This may be caused by various reasons, such as uninstalling or logging out of a browser, uninstalling Beem, formatting a device, or deleting the passkey from a device. If passkey verification fails, try logging in using another verification method first. Then, go to Security Center, delete and re-add the passkey, and then try using the passkey again later.
- Passkey selection error. If you select a passkey at login that does not match the login phone number that you enter, passkey verification will fail.
- The functionality is unstable. If verification fails during login, try using another verification method first. Then, go to Security Center, and then delete and re-add the passkey.
- A PIN is not set for USB security key. If you use a USB security key and you reset the USB PIN, ensure that the new PIN is set. Otherwise, passkey verification will fail.
If I use an iOS device, is there anything I should be aware of when I log in using a passkey?
- If you are using an iOS 16 or above device and you have multiple iOS devices, each iOS device associated with the same Apple ID can share the same passkey. Therefore, you only need to add the passkey to one iOS device to use the passkey to log in using your other iOS devices. If you accidentally add multiple passkeys on multiple iOS devices associated with the same Apple ID, delete the passkey that was added earlier to one of the iOS devices, and only keep the latest passkey that was added to one of the devices. Please note that this is applicable only to iOS device keys, and not to Android, Windows, and other device keys.
What should I do if I fail to add or verify a device by scanning the code on the login page?
- If a device cannot be added by scanning the code, it is recommended that you use other methods (such as facial recognition or fingerprint recognition, or another device screen unlock method) as the passkey. Or, you can add a USB external passkey.
If two-step verification is enabled and the first step is passkey verification, is the second step still necessary?
- Yes. Passkey is a verification method. After successful verification, Two-Factor Authentication is still required to ensure account security.
