Easily share documents and files with your team to collaborate in real time. You can control access permissions, allow others to view or edit content, and ensure everyone works on the latest version. Sharing files in Beem helps improve teamwork, reduce duplication, and keep all collaborators aligned.
Overview
- You can share documents/folders in Docs with others, inviting them to read, edit, or manage them with you.
- Supports initiating content sharing from multiple paths. Meanwhile, you can choose to share with specified recipients such as users, groups, or share with the entire organization or make it public on the internet.
- When you share with specified recipients such as users, groups, etc., the recipient will obtain the identity of a collaborator and the view, edit, or manage permissions you assign, and the recipient can also share the document/folder with more users.
Sharing Management
- You can share documents from the following options:
Option1: In the Docs list, click "..." menu and select the Share button to open the share panel.
Option2: In the document details page, click the Share button to expand the share panel.




Sharing Method
- You can share by inviting collaborators or by sharing a link;
Invite Collaborators
- If you have the permission to add collaborators to the current document/folder, you can share it with the specified recipients by inviting collaborators.
- In the Invite Collaborator text box on the sharing panel, search for and select users, groups, departments, etc. Collaborators of different types.


- After selecting collaborators, you can directly assign them view, edit, or manage permissions. If you are the owner of the document/folder, you can also directly set a collaborator as the owner of the current cloud document.

- After adding the collaborator, click Send and that's it. You can set whether to notify the other party that they have been added as a collaborator.

Share via link
If you have manage permissions, you can adjust the link sharing scope by setting it to either Accessible within the organization or Anyone with the link.
After setting the link sharing option, you can click Copy Link to share it with others.

Share via “Share to Chat”
You can share documents or folders with others using the Share to Chat feature. If you have sharing permissions for the document or folder, you can directly send it to specific users, groups, or departments, who will then receive access to the document.
If you select the option to send a notification, the recipients will also receive a link with the granted permissions.
When sharing to users or groups, you can modify their permissions directly within the corresponding chat.


Manage Collaborators
If you have permission to view, invite, and remove collaborators, you can click the collaborators section in the Share panel to access the collaborator management list.
On this page, you can change collaborators’ permissions and remove collaborators; however, you can only modify the permissions of users at the same or lower permission level than yourself.
