Using Comments in Docs

Improve collaboration and feedback in Beem Docs by using the Comments feature. Comments allow you to add notes, suggestions, or questions directly on specific parts of a document without altering the original content. This helps teams communicate clearly, resolve issues faster, and keep all feedback organized in one place for efficient document collaboration.

Add a comment

  • Select the content you wish to comment on, click the Comment icon in the toolbar, enter your comment in the box on the right, then click "Post". The document owner will receive a notification.

Reply to comments

  • To respond to an existing comment, click on the comment, enter your reply in the text box below it, then click "Post". The document owner and all participants in that comment thread will receive a notification.

Edit Comment

  • To amend a published comment, hover your cursor over the "More" icon in the top-right corner of the comment, click "Edit", modify the comment content, then click “Post” to complete the edit.

Resolve comment

  • Hover your mouse over the comment and click the "Resolve and hide comment" icon. Once resolved, the comment will be hidden from the document's comment list, and a notification will be sent to the users involved informing them that the comment has been resolved.

Delete comment

  • Hover your mouse over the "More" icon in the top-right corner of the comment, then click "Delete". Once deleted, the comment will be removed. Only the comment's owner and users with document management permissions may delete comments.
